A little bit about me...

I love traveling and seeing new places. I've seen a majority of my own country (the US). I've roadtripped across Northern Canada and seen the tiny village of Tuktoyaktuk, which is situated on the Arctic ocean in the Northwest Territory. I have biked across a large section of Europe and seen some pretty interesting and bizarre stuff. I lived in South Korea and taught English for a year. I enjoy writing. I really love listening to people and hearing about their lives and experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm sharing a house with a family that have graciously given me a place to live while I aggressively work my way out of student debt. Therefore, I am not able to host at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had good experiences couch surfing. I have couchsurfed in: Texas, Louisiana, Korea, Portugal, Spain, and Italy.

Interests

I'm interested in a lot of things. I've been a member of the CS community since I was 21 (9 years ago) and my interests have evolved since then. Being a single 30 year old man, my current interests are: quiet spaces where I can think (the bathroom is ideal for this). Beds that don't leave me waking up feeling like I entered myself in a boxing match with a kangaroo. I do like good coffee and also good tea! I am also interested in movies that are real to the human experience but are also encouraging and uplifting. I will always choose being in the wild outdoors to a shopping mall hell!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really watch television or movies that often (ha! I wrote that when I was more adventurous...I do watch a bit of television). However, my first love is watching or listening to any type of live performance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

How do you chose one? I've seen the Northern Lights and some really incredible sunsets! I've climbed over glaciers and explored caves chiseled out of ice. I've been taught by Inuits (a.k.a. Eskimos) how to fish by casting nets. I have slept under bridges and on gorgeous beaches. I have snorkeled off the coast of Phi Phi in Thailand. I have eaten live, wriggling octopus!
