ABOUT ME

If you are a cyclist along the Loire river, you are more than welcome and you will find everything you need, including tools and space for your bicycle.

45 and 51 years old, and two little boys, Maximilian, 12 years, and Adrian, 10 years. We like travelling a lot, especially cycling (different trips in France and through other European countries). Our interests are cycling, hiking, culture more than partying and growing our own fruits and vegetables. Ingolf also does caving, Katrin is very fond of yoga. Nous sommes adeptes du voyage à vélo et de découvertes à pied. Nous voyageons rarement motorisés, si ce n'est en transports publiques. Globalement, nous sommes plus intéressés par la culture et la nature des régions traversées que par faire la fête tous les soirs. Ingolf fait de la spéléologie, Katrin adore faire du yoga.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We really enjoy both aspects of CS : being the guests and hosting. We also like showing people around in Lyon and its surroundings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have been couchsurfing during our cycling tour through Catalunya, Spain, in April 2009 and during our stay in Istanbul in November 2009. We have hosted people from the Usa, Canada, Germany, China, France, etc. All great experiences !

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Ingolf has been to some amazing caves, like Gouffre Berger or Reseau Lachambre, and has done camping in the Okavango Delta, with all the wild animals.

Travelling through India with public transport, especially busses in the mountain areas, was quite some experience. Katrin lived and worked in India for one year. An amazing experience!

Well, Cs is a terrific means to practise our foreign language skills.It's no problem if you don't speak French very well, we'll do our best to speak English, or German ( well, that's easy), some basic Spanish or even very basic Russian.
We would enjoy it if you cooked some typical food from your country for us.
If you are a cycling tourist: we have all the maps you might need of the Rhone-Alpes region, and considerable experience in cyclotourism to share.
We have most of the common tools you may need to repair a bicycle and can provide safe place to store your bike.
