About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The greatest journey is the journey inward...

ABOUT ME

living life and taking full advantage of being a young person with a world to explore! I enjoy meeting new people most of all and learning their stories, and making my own stories with them. Right now I am spending 9 months on Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea, Africa. Trying to make a difference here, especially for the children. Not sure what I want to do with my life, but if the future is anything like the present I will be content.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is best summed up by a quote from my favorite book;

"The greatest temptation in life comes when dreams are confused with reality, the greatest defeat in life comes when dreams are surrendered to reality."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just learned about Couch Surfer from an acquaintance I met while hiking and camping in the rainforest. My curiosity got the best of me, especially seeing how this could be my way to make contacts all over the globe. When I return to the states, I hope to be able to open my couch and show people my beautiful city as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, if you don't count falling asleep on my friend's couches! I hope to find some great people in Spain for late August when I leave my little island!

Interests

The great outdoors, the great indoors, music, wildlife, good literature, riding my bike, trying new foods, meeting new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent two weeks hiking and camping in The Great Caldera -- one of the most remote and beautiful places on earth. Met lifelong friends and saw breathtaking sights, and had time to spend inside my own head as well. (See National Geographic's August 2008 issue)
