ABOUT ME

My mom says I'm cool. Bears are the best animal because they eat anything and don't put up with people's crap. I can count all the way to G. I like inventing games that rely upon the honor system. I can't help but laugh when people fall down. Volleyball is the only sport that I totally suck at.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to participate however I can. I love to travel, and accommodation is one of the biggest expenses / hassles. This is a great concept and I'd like to spread the word.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lots of unofficial couch surfing. Sorry, no resume.

A couch hosting story, though: When I was living in Toronto's Kensington Market, my friends and I built our own outdoor stage and hosted BYOB rock and roll parties every Sunday afternoon - what else are you supposed to do on a Sunday?

Anyway, word got around that our place was the place to be in the neighborhood, and one afternoon this really grubby looking couple asked us if they could chill out in our yard for a while. They were from the US and had been riding freight trains across the country! We ended up having dinner together, sharing stories and having a great time. They wanted to sleep outside but we insisted that they use the couch. They enjoyed our shower most of all.
