About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently: I recently relocated to the MidWestern United States after residing on the West Coast (ID/WA/CA/AZ) my whole life. My intention is to begin exploring different Mid West cities/communities on short weekend side trips in the near term.

[Generally:
1) I feel most alive when I am connecting with new friends (core belief: we are all one - the human family), taking in their perspective and experience, their small corner of this vast universe (other core belief: consciousness, or awareness, & reality itself is a miracle). When I travel—or when I’m intentional in making new connections in my city—these “alive” moments surface exponentially.
2) In addition to the human connection aspect of travel or hosting, going into new places is such a pleasure and privilege. Engaging the 5 senses to all the new “data” around can really shape one’s experience within; the architecture, landscapes, smells of foods, cultural idiosyncrasies, animal life, climate, etc., etc. My challenge has often been in creating the time and/or resources to venture out more. I’m working on it! 🙂 ]

PHILOSOPHY

Still searching and learning. Do no harm. Memento Mori.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

New friendships and landscapes.
Hoping to bring where I’ve been along and share with them.
Hopefully I have some visitors where I could experience the same.

Summer 2023 Books:
Man’s Search for Meaning, Viktor Frankl
The Wisdom of Insecurity, Alan Watts
Internal Family Systems: No Bad Parts, R Schwartz

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Yikes. I‘ve been consistently mediocre.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn from others! This is one of my favorite parts about the CS community culture - this desire to enrich each other.
Embarrassingly, I feel very insecure about my lack of talents/skills. With that, I have nothing “to teach” — but I’d love to share what I’ve been tinkering around with. Mostly meditation and breathwork recently (5ish years). Or share some of my very unscientific cooking methods and recipes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Switzerland, Syrian Arab Republic, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
