About Me

CURRENT MISSION -- Researching my new occupational venture: Travel Texas Music.
Building my extended "family" through my occupation and my avocations

ABOUT ME

I want to be a gypsy in my next incarnation.
I love the road, but I love my home too. I love reading about traveling, writing about traveling, and listening to tales of others' travels.
We also love our old house and our neighborhood friends.
We have great parties that last until the sun is high in the sky next day. We gather every Friday and more as a family to play music for strangers who have become friends. Our extended families include our school communities, Monte Vista Montessori, and Trinity University respectively. It includes fellow musicians from the famous to the weekend jammer. It includes students from 26 years in education.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to become Love Unconditional.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined the "official" couchsurfing community in 2009 but we have been hosting others in our home for years: international cousins, aunts, and uncles from Australia and the Netherlands and wandering minstrels from all over the US have called our home and us their San Antonio family. We've been extremely active and now have "family" all over the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the last seven years since joining CS we've hosted over 600 people with NO bad experiences EVER!! Warning: I tend to visit people who have stayed with me. I had a lovely time in Canada reconnecting with guests turned hosts. I love the interconnectedness of the CS family.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Given birth and mothering to two beautiful, talented human beings. Taught and loved over 3,600 teenagers.

Teach, Learn, Share

Strange as a teacher that this is a hard one to put into words. I am good at listening, processing, and giving insight in a palatable form. I can also cook pretty well and I know my city well.
My husband is an excellent BBQ artist, and can teach guitar, bass, harmonica. He is also politically astute and has been running a Montessori school for 32 years.
My daughter and son are awesome songwriters and musicians.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am extremely well practiced in laundry, dishes, and changing out bed linens. I'm fairly adept at minding young ones and old ones.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Cayman Islands, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands, Scotland, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
