About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To discover what we can about everything!

ABOUT ME

Both Lynne and I are happy and warm people. We like people and enjoy a good chat. Deep down we have a sense of adventure when it comes to travel. Lynne lived in Spain for 10 years where she learned to speak their language fluently. I have travelled independantly in Austria, France and Greece. Recently we have been strapped for cash which has limited the opportunities for travelling - a passion which we both share. Now at last things are on a more even keel and we can now fulfil our dreams of seeing the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Be true to yourself at all times and treat others the way you would like them to treat you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just beginning to get involved in this whole idea - have to say that it looks great!

Interests

My musical tastes are slowly been weaned away from the 1980's and into more modern stuff. We both love the theatre whether its opera (my favourite), or plays (Lynne's favourite). We both enjoy reading - Lynne likes to get involved in a novel whereas I am more for factual books. As a history teacher, most of my reading time is devoted to reading history books and I always have a pile beside my bed just waiting for the right time! I also enjoy time on the computer whether it is playing a game or just surfing about.

Music, Movies, and Books

Both Lynne and I love film and like to think of ourselves as armchair reviewers. I enjoy all genres of film and even watch the awful ones just to scratch them off my list. I am busy working my way through the Radio Times film book which has no less than 21,000 reviews inside - I am at number 653 - so nearly finished then!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say the best were the monasteries of Methoni in Greece; perched on rock pinnacles and accessible only by narrow paths. I also saw my first wild tortoise there!
