ABOUT ME

My wife Katie and I have been married three years and enjoyed every minute of it. Well, practically every minute. We've spent the last two years living and working in El Salvador trying to support the Salvadoran youth with various projects aimed at their social, interpersonal, and academic development. Tons of fun, but frustrating at times. Anyway, we love new cultures, languages, and places, so this community of surfers is a natural for us. We love meeting new people, and look forward to seeing some of you out there.

Mi esposa y yo llevamos 3 años de estar casados y lo hemos disfrutado todo. Pasamos los ultimos dos años trabajando en El Salvador al beneficio de los jovenes y niños en un pueblo que se llama yucuaiquin. Nos encanta aprender de otras culturas, y siempre busamos oportunidad a mejorar el español. Tambien, nos gusta conocer a gente nueva, y esperamos conocer algunos en nuestras aventuras.

PHILOSOPHY

My wife's philosophy would be...people should all just be nice to each other. Simplistic? Maybe. But tough to argue with.

La filosofia personal de mi esposa seria...todos deben de ser amables, unos con otros. Aunque simplistica quizas, dificilmente se puede estar en contra de eso.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to this, so my participation to date consists in filling out this information and looking for a few couches for a future trip through South America. Generally, we'd love to host and surf both.

Nos encantaria recibir visitas, igual a surf, pero ahorita estamos vagando, buscando aventura en cualquier lado, pero al regresar a los estados, pues, bienvenidos.

Interests

Wow... what am I not interested in? I have such varied interests that sometimes I think I just want to be a student for life. Or a traveler. A few interests are: good books, environmental causes, food of almost any kind and preferably in large quantities, grassroots human development, espanol, traveling (is this on every CS interests section?), world politics and events (in a disdainful, disgusted sort of way), and working with youth/kids.

Pues, un monton! Nos interesan muchas temas, y nos encanta conversar con gente educada que nos puede dar una nueva perspectiva de la vida. Algunos intereses son: libros buenos, causas ambientales, comida buena y de buena cantidad (a pesar de nuestras figuras chiquitas), español, viajar (como todos los cuchsurfers), politica mundial, y jugando con y educando a niños.
