About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To befriend good people about the globe, feast, laugh, and revel.

ABOUT ME

Ruby: at times I wish I could simultaneously lead multiple lives because I am inspired and drawn to so many things. I want to be a gypsy lady like my mother and my grandmother and keep moving, performing, charming, missing trains and collecting stories of laughter and love. I also aspire to work for the UN because I, perhaps naively, believe in efficiency, governance and the goodwill of most human beings. And there are days, a lot of days, where I imagine building a house with my own two hands in the country, and watching things grow and thrive, starting a jug band, eating food we grow and playing instruments in an ampitheatre of trees for all critters.

PHILOSOPHY

Cheers to the absurdity, the wonder and abundace of it all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have stayed with people all around the world and now we have a little cottage of our own where we can joyfully give back the hopsitality. Its funny when you invite someone to stay over and they thing we're joking or being polite; no stay! make yourself a drink, kick back, the more the merrier!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We just hosted a fantastic Irish couple, we wanted them to stay longer. We're looking forward to guests in the future and staying with people in our upcoming trip to Germany.

Interests

Cooking and eating, music, playing musical instruments, dancing, traveling, making and reading maps, learning and discussing languages, debaucherous and darelict schemes and activities, plotting our escape from the confines of full time work!
