ABOUT ME

my name is maisie. i like to draw and breathe deep and go dancing, i practice a little music too, which i could try and play for you, and i also draw and write and sometimes get crafty. i also like to cook a lot, and love to cook for friends. in the summer i love my bicycle! i'm hoping to get back into poi after a long break, and to learn something about organic and biodynamic farming for the first time. right now i am based in the whitsundays, working on a little ship with some friends. my family is dear to me, blood or otherwise, and especially including my sweet pup louise.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

when in minnesota i know the cities well enough and am always happy to show people around and when i'm not i'm always happy to go out for coffee and trade stories. if you should find yourself in minneapolis and wanting some recommendations or directions, just write!also now that i am sydney maybe i can show you around, or, we could both get a little lost together. on my days/nights off i am totally up for an adventure.if you are ever curious about working in the marine industry or simply wonder what it would be like to crew on a yacht, please write me too. if not for the kindness and good advice of others i would never have arrived here myself.

whee couchsurfing! i am a great fan of the couchsurfing project and so happy that it can facilitate real-world communication through such an abstract medium as the internet. i've been pretty lucky to have only had good experiences and would like to keep it that way and to be a happy memory for other folks too.

Teach, Learn, Share

can teach- how to cook guandules con coco, basic fire dancing, dominican slang, embroidery, portrait drawing, basic emergency medicine, maybe some basic sailingwant to learn- to sail better, surf more, fancy knots, any and all languages. i am interested in herbs and healing modalities the world over... plus if you're willing to help with my tahitian, french, dutch and arabic that would be so lovely! also bellydance and kitesurfing.
