Resumen
Sobre mí
ABOUT ME
My name is Thomas van Houwelingen and I'm 19 years old. My parents live in Noordwijk, but recently I moved to Leiden, where one can find the oldest university of Holland. In Leiden I study French. I particulary like the French litterature. My favourite writer is, at the moment -my preferences changes quite often-, Eric-Emanuel Schmitt. I do also like non-French writers, like Jonathan Safran-Foer, Harry Mulish and W.F. Hermans.
I also play football in a team which is formed by friends, who respect each other and don't want to be in the team at all costs. It's just for fun.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not very religious -I don't believe there is reallty a God up there- but I do believe in stories and values that are in the Bible.
But philosophy is not just religion. I have to study quite a lot philosophers, like Descartes, so it's hard for me to describe my personal philosophy.
But I do think that one should respect eachother for what they did, do or want to do, and not judge beforehand.

Intereses
As I said before I'm interested in litterature. I think one can learn so much by reading books. Bedides it's very interesting to see how many different styles have occured in the past.
I'm also interested in music: classical (Bach, The St. Matthew Passion is very moving, and Mozart) and music form the sixties (like the Beatles, Canned Heat, Elvis).

Enseña, aprende, comparte
I could teach/share my knowledge of French in the future.
I would like to learn more languages from others, like Spanish, English (it's not so fantastic yet), Russian and Italian.
