About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To strike a balance between longing for home and longing for adventure.

ABOUT ME

I am a writer who never really writes (something I know I need to change). Happiest near the ocean. I have friends who are more like family and family who are great friends. I value learning above almost anything else. I have a massive appetite for books. I have recently returned from 18 months travelling in Europe and had the time of my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have been doing help exchanges while in Europe - sort of like wwoofing, working on people's building projects or farms or guesthouses in exchange for food, accommodation and friendship.

Currently hosting our first Couchsurfers here and it's been great!

Interests

Reading, writing, pondering, making plans for the future, camping, hiking, swimming, snorkelling, cooking, playing video and board games, photography, dance, tropical fish, having cats sit on my lap, snowboarding...

I prefer drinking at a pub where I can talk to people to going out clubbing. I'm pretty good at entertaining myself and easily pleased when I'm alone - I am definitely an introvert, and shy at first, but it doesn't take much to get me to open up and be comfortable around people I've just met.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the Great Glen Way in Scotland, 110km from Fort William to Inverness, following the canals and Loch Oich, Loch Lochie and Loch Ness. It gave me a whole new level of confidence in my physical abilities.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some graphic design, the intricacies of the English language, vegetarian cooking.

Would like to learn more about photography and how to use my DSLR, and more cooking!

I want to hear your travel stories!
