To help build a co-housing community in Dorset, England and to be part of a global community

ABOUT ME

I live near the sea in Bridport, Dorset, UK and love to walk on the coast, swim in the sea in Summer, visit friends, watch films and travel somewhere new each year.

Left work last year to decide myself how I spend my time - now I spend a few days a month with my grandchildren in London (boy Kobi born Oct 08, girl Isla born Jan 12) and work at Bridport Citizens' Advice Bureau and other community projects.

Have 2 spare rooms and welcome women visitors.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently involved in creating a Cohousing Neighbourhood, writing a play for a local radio project (Bridport FM), gardening, helping organise a Feminist Festival each March for International Women's Day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hitch-hiking in the early 70's in Germany, met a couple who loaned us their flat in Hamburg - before they got back! Have couchsurfed in Boston and Maine,US, in Portugal and Greece. Stayed in people's homes in rural Thailand Jan 2012. I've hosted people from many parts of Europe and from Australia. It's great to meet people and see how other people live.

The sunset over the sea where I live is pretty amazing. I love The Blue Lagoon in Iceland in the Winter when the air is very cold and the water is very hot. Also love the full moon.
