ABOUT ME

We are students in social and political sciences (in Paris). We love discovering people, cultures, ways of living...
We both speak English and Spanish.

We have spent this year abroad (Thibaut in Mali, Sarah in Peru and then in Mali), it was an awesome experience, which made us realise how much we love living and travelling in new places.

We don't smoke and we are very friendly !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We like travelling as a way to meet other realities & cultures, so we are eager to meet people who live in the countries we will discover and not having contacts only with turistic services.
We would be happy to meet real friends but we perfectly understand that people may not be very available and we don’t need to be mothered.
After a year abroad (Peru, Mali), we are coming back to Paris this summer and we will be glad to welcome people who will need a couch in Paris for the coming year.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Last summer, we went to Argentina where we were hosted several times thanks to CS website. The people we met this way and the experiences we had were really nice.
We have already couched people, although not within CS. It's always a pleasure to welcome people from other places and share some time with them.

Interests

We are interested in all kinds of art : music, painting and sculpture, cinema, litterature, dance and photography...
Besides, we are fascinated by two areas of the world : Latin America and Africa. The cultures throughout these lands are spellbinding.
I (Sarah) am deeply interested in global health issues ; I (Thibaut) in urban sociology and anthropology.

Music, Movies, and Books

Herman Hesse, Bukowski, Garcia Marquez, Sepuvelda, tales (Grim, Perrault, Hampaté Ba), London, Hemingway, Kerouac, Tolkien, Quiroga, Erri de Luca... We enjoy reading traditional tales from each culture.
I (Thibaut) play the violin (classical and a bit of jazz) and the guitar. We like all kinds of music, from classical to rock through jazz, ethnical music, rap (good one !), etc. For example, some of our favourite bands could be the Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Ben harper, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Sun Ra...

Teach, Learn, Share

Discover : daily life habits, music, recipes. Learn : local idioms...
Share : our experiences, French music, food (far from the common clichés) and we would be pleased to teach anything we can.
