ABOUT ME

I am a College Professor retired in late 2014 and a traveler or host on the weekends.I go to US cities like Boston, NYC,Chicago(my favorite),S.F.,L.A.,Pittsburgh for Baseball, interesting restaurants, photographing Public art and experiencing the people! I've been to Europe thirteen times in 2010-16, Paris,Lyon,Nice,London, Brussels, Prague,Istanbul,Amsterdam,Vienna and Germany, East Europe, Spain, Croatia, etc. ! I have a side business in Sports memorabilia, especially Baseball related things.I am articulate and knowledgeable in many areas .

PHILOSOPHY

My passion is teaching which I have done for many years. I like to improve the Math Literacy and Reading Comprehension of my students so they can succeed in real life. I get along well with ALL types of people, having taught those aged 18 to 66.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Interests

I do love to travel in the "shoulder times" : April, May, Sept., October. .I like to immerse myself in the local culture of restaurants, Art, architecture, nice people and Baseball stadiums with character (like Fenway, Wrigley).Major parades I've seen and may again are the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena and the Carribean Labor Day one in Brooklyn!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been in all BUT 3 of the 50 States.First on the list is witnessing the birth of my daughter in 1985, who now is a Pediatrician herself ! STanding in the Sistine Chapel and looking at the ceiling in the Vatican was awesome! Best scenes in the States were seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time and watching my friends surf the Banzei pipeline on the coast of Oahu, Hawaii at 6 am!
