finish what i should have started(and finished) a long time back

ABOUT ME

For the first phase of my life, I lived in Calcutta(yes back then it was still called Calcutta so I'm still allowed to call it that). This phase lasted till I was 12. I don't know what to call this part of my life... But if I had to call it something, I think I would call it - 'It all began with a slap on my tiny ass'

The second phase of my life, I call 'Imprisonment'. This lasted for one year. I was 13. I was locked up in Alcatraz... :P Actually that was my first year in the boarding. Didn't quite like it at the time. Much of the time I was pretty miserable but it did me a fat lot of good... or should I say a "slim lot of good"... for this is when I slimmed down. Before this I was quite simply put a fat kid!

The third chapter I call 'The Beginnings of Steven'. This is the time when I actually started becoming who I am now. This lasted for 4 years. This is the time when I came to love my home in the mountains. It is during this phase that I came to call Darjeeling home. This was an interesting period of my life. I lived in a boarding school in Darjeeling - St. Joseph's (North Point). *If you must send your child to boarding school send him(its boys only) here... he will come out as me :P... nah I'm just kidding... but he will be prepared for life* I consider this part to be the highest peak of my life till now.

This next phase, which lasted almost 2 years - June '07 to Feb '09, I call 'Stuck in a gutter'. This is the time I was doing my +2(Pre-college/ Junior College/ last 2 years of high school) in Calcutta. The principal of this school was a bloodsucking maggot and no I am not just saying this because students are supposed to say this of their principals... I am saying it because it is true. Imagine a big maggot, wheatish in color, wearing a sari(an Indian dress) and spectacles, with big protruding eyes and you have a pretty clear picture of her. I am saying, on record, she would overdose on prescription pills during school hours in her office. You need but look and speak to her once to know that she is high on something. I also suspect she was into some serious drugs. And she would carry a landline phone around with her(do not ask me why... just laugh at the freak). Much of the people I encountered in their seemed to be the scum of the universe... not as villainous people but rather pathetic. During this phase the falls of my life hit a bedrock so far down that I could feel the heat from the core of the earth. It was the lowest point of my life.
This next and present part I call 'Knocking on Heaven's Door'. It is not that I am dying(for I'm not) but that I am calling on God to help open another door. Here is where I am right now. *This part is under construction. Any inconvenience is regretted. More detail of this phase will be furnished once I have crossed over into the next chapter*

And thats pretty much my life up till now...
Please go have a coffee/ beer/ red bull/ horse power or some sort of energy drink on me.... I must have fried your brains by now... I was sent to this planet to bore all its inhabitants to such an extent that my people - The Borians can come and take over your planet without any resistance!!!
And you're probably thinking I need a sense of humor transplant... and you might just be right.

If I haven't accomplished my task of boring you to the point of insanity yet... please... read on...
I would love to have a gorilla of my own... I rather love our ancestral brothers... monkeys are cool hairy people too but I rather prefer a gorilla. If anyone has one to offer, please contact me. pssst... yes i know they're in the endangered list... so don't tell the government bout this section!
I'm not one for fixed routines and timetables... although i spent the 5 formative years of my life in a boarding :P
Never been good with rules either... have an innate tendency to break them... ;) To quote some of my teachers, "Rules are made to be broken"
I believe we have just one life to live and we gotta do all we can right now... right here!
I want to see all the different kinds of people and cultures in the world. It sounds like an impossible dream but i want to cover every inch of ground on the globe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

uhhhh........ its been pretty good so far... except that time when i got shot with a silver bullet coz they thought i was a werewolf! yeah... but that was just one time... oh ... no wait... there was that other one where the guy started reciting prayers n brandishin a cross coz he thought i was posessed by the devil... and... well one more when she thought i was a martian n tried to kill me with bacteria!... oh no ... no... i'm sorry... that was me... i put the bacteria culture on her. Didn't work though... so much for war of the worlds! :P
So if you didn't get it from all of that.... its been great!!! :)

Interests

Music undoubtedly tops the list... can't live without it.
Obviously I love to travel...
I want to learn different languages.... French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Afrikaans, Zulu, German, Greek, Japanese, Portuguese, Lhusai, Meitei and Thai to name a few... and this may sound weird but i also want to learn Latin.

Cars and Bikes are a great fascination to me... always have been.
I like sports... football(Soccer), Basketball, swimming, volleyball, tennis...... like John Lennon said "I am a musician. You give me a tuba, I'll make something of it"
I love ice cream, brownies, cakes, chocolate, meat, bacon, ham, salami, sausages, drinks, eggs, dalle(a small round red chilli from the Himalayas), christmas, easter, surprises, dogs, etc... etc...
Well basically i'm a guy who likes to have a piece of every pie... so you can understand it would be a long list if i were to put down everything that interests me because that list would include almost everything there is...

P.S. I don't need a reason to celebrate so just come on out and lets have a ball...
