ABOUT ME

I consider myself a part of my family, friends and country. There is MY family, that consists of me and my boyfriend. We have bin together for 10 years now and i can not wait to spend another 50 with him. I have more fantastic family, two younger sisters and an older brother. My parents are also super people. I have a group of few good friends that I have known since I was six and mean the world to me. I have a handful of others great friends I have collected along the way from preschool :)

I´m Icelandic and of course i consider the country to be one of the best in the world. Sure we are broke as a nation and have lost some credit overseas. I don´t think that defines us in any way, not me at least :)
Iceland is clean, safe, peaceful, rich in terms of high quality fish, meat and vegetables. It is expensive and we have high taxes but at least I think it is absolutely worth it.

I am hosting some people this summer and find it fun. I will for sure try to meet some locals next time I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have just started couchsurfing. I think it is great so far at least. i meet some new people and can discuss all kinds of topics with them.

Interests

I´m really bad at hobbies. I´ve tried to have some but loose interest sooner than later. There are some things I think are fun. For example my job, that is kids. They are just so energetic, inspiring, imaginative, and see life so totally differently that I do. I really like parties and I don´t mean just getting drunk an passing out on the couch. I really like planing parties, decorating, making snacks and cocktails. I also really like costume parties and always take my costume seriously and spend a few days getting the details right. Oh men, I LOVE IT!
I´m just getting started with gardening and hiking...I think that has something to do with age..hehehe I planted my own herbs this summer and have some great, thyme, mint, oregano, parsley, leek and garlic. The hiking is fantastic...Iceland has of course all kinds of hiking routs that I haven´t tried yet. My first favorit route is called "Fimmvörðuháls" and is a 10 hour hike between two glaciers in the south of Iceland. :)
I also like beer and cigarettes (usually I just enjoy one with the other,but not separately) and white wine!

Music, Movies, and Books

I think people and life affects me so much more than movies, music and books. First off all, I´m not really that into music. I think it´s fun and sometimes I like to loose it on the dance floor(not so often though). I even sometimes really enjoy singing but more often I like the silence.
Movies and books are more of an entertaining than an inspiration. I like stories about people and life during different times in history, allot of drama is good :) but laughing is also great. If I should name something i recently read and liked: The thirteen tale, The boy in the striped pajamas, The kite runner, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time and Coraline (I haven´t seen the movie yet). And Movies I saw recently and liked...oh my god, I can´t remember any...

I can share my experiences, view of life and all I know about my country. I´m interested in people and how they live around the world...I always think it is curious and fascinating that my norm seems strange to others. I´m curious about how others live and learn around the globe. And if we share our stories we will all learn a great deal.
