About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To know yours. To hear stories and make my own.

ABOUT ME

I graduated from Auburn University in the Winter of 2010 with a degree in English.

I drove around America for the summer of 2010 with my best friend of 10 years. We saw many new places and met many new people and became life-long supporters of couchsurfing.

He and I will be traveling Europe from October 2012 through January 2013. Our mission is much the same as it was when we drove all across the U.S.--to learn and to grow, and to find some of the things that we've lost.

I'm travel writing for www.insidersabroad.com for some extra money while I'm abroad, but after that, when I'm out of money, I'm not sure what I'll be doing. Hopefully what we do doesnt make us who we are.

PHILOSOPHY

I value community and conversation. I'm learning kindness is surprisingly effective and efficient. Complementing, cleaning, cooking, and sharing are too easy to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has in many ways been a network, or a community, that is what I would most consider to be my home. The people that Ive met have taught me so much about hospitality, culture, and selflessness. I'm thankful for CS, in a big way.

Interests

Reading and writing are my outlets. I like to hear the stories of friends new and old, and I'm not reluctant to share. I think that the more honest a conversation is, the more likely that it will touch on something that we all know about, but want to hear from voices other than our own.

I was hit in the chest by a bull who's horns were on fire, pinned against the wall, and dropped. The horn burned the inside of my clothes, but didnt gore me.

I've made it to all of the states in the U.S, and I saw the sun set below the "Bad Lands."
