About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Mission impossible is like a walk in the park compared to living out your dreams. But impossible is nothing. And moreover I find it impossible apparently to write about missions without using the obvious clichés :-)
PHILOSOPHY
"What doesn't kill you only makes your life longer..."
"Always look on the bright side of life with your sunglasses on..."
"My home is the world and there's no place like home... Except maybe for planet Xrd-567-PL in the Andromeda nebula."
"The grass is always greener in Ireland..."
Ok, enough of these above stupidities. I do have the ambition to experience all there is to life. My priorities however are probably not (yet) the same priorities as those that are 'expected' from a near-thirtier... Guess I'm still seeking a bit to my spot in this world. But also here applies that the journey is more important than the goal. And I'm really enjoying the odyssey :-)
Although I'm quite sceptical to philosophy as a science, I would like to end by quoting one of the all time's great philosophers:
"Women... Can't live with them... Pass the beer nuts." (Norm Peterson in 'Cheers')
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Still a couchvirgin I'm afraid. But we already offered our couches to some lovely visitors from India and the USofA.
Interests
* foreign cultures and nature: although (or because) I was born and raised at the North sea, my interests much rather incline towards mountains than towards seasides.
* my little cousins, god bless them all
* playing (guitar) and enjoying music
* sports: cycling, running, trekking!
* I love a good beer and enjoy tasting new discoveries, but furthermore I'm a real nitwit when it comes to wines or other alcoholic drinks.
* Dark pubs!
