ABOUT ME

Hi! We are a couple from Belgium, and since May 2011 we also listen to the names 'moeke' en 'papa' (mum and dad) when our daughter Laya calls us :-) In May 2013 another family member joined us: our son Linus was born.

We are quite each others opposite in some ways: Steve is not a thinker and does not spill his words, so Naomi fills up this empty space and thinks and talks a lot. It's a challenge to learn from each other, and working quite well. Looking for a balance is always a good thing to do.

Yes, we also share things: We both like to experience intense moments with each other and people all over the world. We are dreaming a lot: about travelling, starting our own business, having children, etc. We like to travel and our mission is to see a lot of the world, to come in touch with other people, thougts and ways of living. In past years we participated in some youth projects and volunteer work (in Russia, Georgia, Mexico, Central Republic of Africa,...) We think these kind of meetings are unique, it is another way of coming in touch with a country.

Some further practical stuff: we don't smoke, are flexibel and open to answer further questions...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We heard of CS from a friend, started looking at the website and really are amased about seeing how many people are sharing the belief in a better, more tolerant and peacefull world. We want to travel in an authentic way: not just seeing places but also feel them. That is only possible if you meet up with people from the place you visit. We believe these interactions can be very enriching.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had some very good experiences in India, thanks to Ram, Awadhesh and Kaushal! Thanks to them we could experience some places in a different way, we learned about traditions and everyday life in India, we had a really good time!
