To meet new and different people and expand my life and knowledge and experience base beyond where I am from and where I live.

ABOUT ME

I am a young man with a traditional education and a non-traditional background. I am looking to break the confines of a traditional American life and learn about different people, their cultures, and their general life philosophies in a way that a typical tourist would never be able to do. I am a very relaxed, easy going, and generous person. I very much enjoy speaking with people and am very open minded.

PHILOSOPHY

My entire life I have always wanted to travel without constraint and I believe that this community is the best way to achieve that. Typical tourism, especially American tourism is setup in such a way that the tourists themselves are completely isolated from the cultures which they are trying to experience. My philosophy on life and travel in general is that to fully experience anything you have to move past these aforementioned constraints be they self imposed or cultural and commit yourself fully to whatever it is you are trying to experience.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will participate by avidly hosting and traveling using the various features on the site, I am excited to use couch surfing to it's fullest potential.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had two experiences so far, two very nice people from Paris and two very nice people from Denmark have stayed with me and my roommates, it was wonderful and very refreshing.

I am interested in literature, music and movies that are either cerebral or irreverent. Anything that offers some semblance of escapism in a way that is positive/healthy is something that I am interested in.
