The Taj Mahal is the most amazing man-made anything that I have seen, if I go back to Agra I would take a book and spend the whole day there simple relaxing in its presence (rather than including it as part of a day trip).

Due to my nature I don't tend to get awestruck, a few things that others may find at least interesting, if not amazing are:

Hitchhiking through El Salvador and Nicaragua including one ride where I realised that the woman in the passenger seat had an Uzi strapped across her chest and jokingly flagging down a truck towing a flat-bed trailer only to spend 3 hours lying on the back careering through the Nicaraguan countryside with nothing to hang on to. We got some odd looks as we drove through Managua!

Sailing from the UK to Panama over 5 months on a grand prix racing yacht - not the most comfortable way to travel but definitely an experience. Probably the most noteable thing to pass was getting spun by a breaking wave during a gale, the boat sliding sideways down the face of the wave with me hanging from the life line (guard rail) wondering if the boat was going to capsize and me die.

Giving up my corporate life in London and becoming a pub landlord in Bogota.
