About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Expand my mind with experiences. Enlighten the world with images.

ABOUT ME

Since I graduated from university I've been a bit of a wanderer. I've been working seasonally in Antarctica, Greenland and Alaska for the past 12 years and spending the time between contracts traveling the world. My passion in life is photography. My other passion is the wilderness. I like to put those two things together.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in moderation, including moderation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to CS and have only tried it out in Denmark, but I really enjoyed my experiences. I look forward to hosting whence I'm back in the USA.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Other than my great couch surfing experiences in Denmark everything else has been unofficial, and typically initiated with hitchhiking. It's the most magical type of transportation and the experiences are unforgettable.

Interests

Photography, Guitars, India Pale Ales, Dinosaurs, Mandolins, Electricity, Bicycles, Travels, Snowboarding, Cribbage, Ukeleles, Scrabble, Pilsners, Hiking, Canoes.

I listen to Indie, hip-hop, electronica, old country and eighty's power ballads. I like to read Tom Robbins, Christopher Moore, and Kurt Vonnugut. I like to watch things by Wes Anderson, the Coen Brothers, and Christopher Guest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending a winter locked in Antarctica was sort of interesting. Then again so was drinking snake whiskey in a back alley in Laos.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good with cameras and electricity.
