ABOUT ME

-I'm pretty much up for anything! I really just want to travel, make new friends, and learn about all kinds of things.
-My passion is cinematography and I'm currently working towards shooting short films and feature films consistently. As of now I make music videos and short films, but I don't get enough work to be able to quit school and make it my career just yet. To kill the time I go to university and study English literature, Art, and Philosophy. I really enjoy it but it is always secondary to my film work and painting.
-I'm also a painter, I work only with oil and I do portraiture and figurative painting. I really enjoy Lucian Freud, Francis Bacon, Van Gogh, Balthus, and lots of others! I haven't been painting for very long, but I hope to get to a point where I can paint people from life. I really love the idea of working from life, being able to talk with someone, spending hours upon hours painting them, you really get to know them well and form a special friendship that I find to be very beautiful.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind, be yourself, be open minded. It's hard not to sound cliche on a website where you're supposed to try and sum you and your entire personality up so another can read about you and judge you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently live with my family in Edmonton, Alberta. I have only ever had one couchsurfer stay at our house before, his name was Hussain and he was from vancouver. He planned on staying for a week, but he ended up staying for over a month! We've been close friends ever since. Obviously this is the ideal couch surfing experience, and I hope to have similar experiences both at my house in Edmonton and with others when I'm away traveling!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have couchsurfed in Calgary, Montreal, and Vancouver. I've never had a bad experience! I feel really lucky to have met the people I have, I've made close friends and enjoyed some really great hospitality. I hope I never have to stay in a hostel or hotel again.
