About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm a writer and am especially interested in meeting other writers. I also enjoy meeting new people. (This doesn't sound too wacky. Sorry.) With the "economic downturn" travel will become impossible for many of us unless we help each other out.
ABOUT ME
An active, outdoorsy, animal-loving, reaching-out 60+ married woman. My "job" is writing personal stories. (www.pathsofthought.com. I'm happy, upbeat, and relatively stable. I'd say I'm a bit spiritual and wish I were more spiritual. I'm not religious. I bicycle, hike, horseback ride, and do a stiff version of yoga.
PHILOSOPHY
There are an amazing number of good people out there, honest and well-intentioned. Then there's some scum.
I thrive on new experiences whether it's a restaurant I've never been to or a country I've never seen before.
Family and friends are my most important priority.
I get too busy and too disorganized on a regular basis.
I take my writing very seriously, but hope most of it is funny.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a Newbie. I joined because I want to go to New York to participate in a reading of Ask Me About My Divorce and another contributor suggested CouchSurfing. Suddenly a whole world opened up. Showing my town to others. Seeing theirs. I'm excited.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite Movies: It's a Beautiful Mind
Raiders of the Lost Ark Shirley Valentine
Favorite Music: Most classical and jazz. Most Big Band. Some country western and easy listening. Not good with heavy metal and its current descendants.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing thing done: Helped birth one of my step-grandchildren. Truly amazing.
Let's see. Camped on the Camargue in France with a French roommate when I was in college and watched the wild horses race by.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share knowledge about relationships and about writing. A bit about animals. I can learn more about all those and so much more. I'm opening my home to all ethnicities, gay and straight. But I suppose that goes without saying in your organization.
