To ride from Stanford, CA to Boston MA to raise awareness of AIDS in Africa

ABOUT ME

This summer three students, Dave, Austin, and Lauren, will ride their bikes from Stanford, CA to Boston, MA to raise awareness and funds for AIDS. Dave and Austin are the bikers while Lauren will drive a support car.

Along the way we will give presentations on the AIDS epidemic in Africa, highlighting the ways in which students can help fight this terrible virus. We're passionate about this cause and excited to meet new people all across the country! A friend recomended Couch Surfing to us and we think it's an awesome idea!

PHILOSOPHY

This ride is an event supported by Face AIDS, a student group founded at Stanford University in 2005. As members of Face AIDS, we believe that students can make a difference in the world. What we do today lays the groundwork for making the world we want to see in the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While we trek across the country we will be giving presentations about the crisis in Africa at local Rotary clubs, high schools, and churches. We love to meet new people and would be excited to talk to whom ever can host us about our cause to help spread awareness about HIV/AIDS.
