About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To break out of the box.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a conservative family in a small town in Maryland. Pretty standard. When I came to college, I broke out of my shell and discovered my radical, quirky self. I just finished my sophomore year at St. Mary's College of Maryland. It's a small liberal arts college right on the St. Mary's River. It's in the middle of nowhere, but I've managed to have some amazing times here nonetheless. Although I plan to transfer to a different school next spring, I'm here at St. Mary's for the summer, working, hanging out, and contemplating my next journey.

PHILOSOPHY

I'll have to get back to you on this one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the CouchSurfing community, but I am totally open and excited about the travels, opportunities, and new friendships that await me!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Recently, I couchsurfed for two weeks in Austin, TX. Such a wonderful experience. And what a way to get to know a city! I met so many amazing, generous, and hospitable people along the way, and I can only hope that everyone who tries couchsurfing can get to experience what I did in Austin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The week after I graduated from high school, instead of doing the whole go-to-the-beach-and-get-shitfaced thing that everyone else at my high school did, I went out to Arizona to stay with my cousin Meghan for a week. Even though I'm not that close with my cousin, I had the most amazing time there. I saw the red rocks of Sedona, the artsy downtown area of Tucson, and even slid down a natural waterslide at a state park. It sounds cheesy, but I really think I left part of my heart there. I know I'll go back soon to find it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to make jewelry, play the piano, and make delicious vegan food, including hashed browns that will knock your socks off! I am currently trying to learn some yoga on my own. I'd also really like to learn how to sew and/or knit.
