ABOUT ME

Hello!

I'm from Glasgow in Scotland, and I want to go out and experience the world. I enjoy being creative in any form, mainly taking photographs, drawing and painting as well as playing a bit of guitar here and there.

I love meeting new and interesting people, and gaining different perspectives on life and sharing ideas. It fascinates me to find out what other people feel and think.It also inspires me to do things, to create and to keep going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been involved in CS for a while now. When I lived in Amsterdam, i'd go along to meetings and see fellow surfers. At some point, I want to surf my way around Europe and make some new friends, but for now I'm back home in Glasgow. I

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Good and bad - good at meeting random people and having fun nights in Amsterdam, but bad when you meet someone who is only interested in trying to get you back to theirs afterwards, which isn't really what CS is all about.

Interests

Photography, drawing, painting, street art, listening to music and watching live gigs, making new friends and sharing ideas, writing, philosophy (although a lot confuses me so if you're willing to explain, let me know :)), baking and cooking. Listening to other people's ideas and perspectives is quite possibly one of my favourite things, I find it fascinating and nothing could really bore me in that respect. I'm interested in interactions between people and how they form, change and evolve too, it's incredible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Also, in Amsterdam the most amazing sunrise I've ever seen! The sky was bright blue, the clouds were orange and pink and there was about 10 white stripes all over the place from planes that had flown past- incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

how to make pancakes:

120g/4oz plain flour
2 tbsp sugar
pinch of salt
2 eggs
200ml milk mixed with 75ml water
50g/2oz butter

- mix flour, sugar and salt in a bowl.
- add eggs and milk slowly in the centre
-keep whisking until you have a batter-like consistancy. Try and get as many lumps out as possible.
- if you want, add a bit of melted butter to the mixture. Voila!
