ABOUT ME

Two years ago I quit my job to dive into the art world. I started out as a bartering artist and was able to travel abroad in exchange for my art work. I have painted murals, portraits and other pieces in exchange for places to live. I'm currently staying in Carlsbad working on a 3000 sq.ft mural and needing a place to stay in the meantime.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have opened my apartment to a handful of couch surfers and have really enjoyed each and every one of them. The connections I've made through this site have been unbelievably strong.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I originally joined this site years ago because I was going to cycle down the Oregon and California coast. I let several people stay with me (some up to 3 weeks) and had very positive experiences. However, I ended up camping the whole way down, so I have yet to stay on someone else's couch.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is one of the main reasons I am an artist today. My first love is the piano and my influences are eclectic.
Books: I'm currently on a Tom Robbins kick. I can't seem to want to read anything else, I just pick up another one of his books when I'm finished with the last.
Movies: Hmmmmm, I don't watch movies often but when I do I realize I'm missing out. Just recently watched The Last Mimsy, which was pretty incredible. Waking Life, Reservoir Dogs, Samasara and What Dreams May Come were also introduced to me recently and really enjoyed all of them.
