ABOUT ME

I generally consider myself being reliable, a good friend, fun to be with, political, artistic and critical.

Of course I'm more into some things than others. I like hanging out with fun people, discussing life and politics and have a laugh. I'm not that much into sports (except for gym, yoga and ski) and I don't like the dance clubs. I'd rather hang out at some dodgy place trying to solve the mysteries of life over a glass (or five glasses) of beer.

I like laughing with people. Did I mention that? But I'm also quite sarcastic and critical. You could call me pessimistic. I would call it being realistic. Pragmatic. Practical.

But don't get me wrong. I also possess ideology and passion about things. I have big feelings and am usually quite open and honest about them. I burn for equality, human rights, women's rights, LGBT rights, animal rights, protecting the environment and social justice. Equality. I'm a social democrat. To the left. But as I said, my approach is rather pragmatic, I'm not at all naïve about things. I base my opinions on facts . If I don't know the facts, I'll look them up. Investigate. Analyze. If I still don't know them, experience has taught me to ask and listen to those who might know them, instead of talking nonsense.

I have my ups and downs and can of course contradict myself - like everyone else. I don't want to be mainstream, but guess I am at times. I want to be radical, but can also fall into the conformist pit at times. I just guess I'm a complex human being, full of contradictions. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I share a flat with a friend in the centre of Reykjavík. We have hosted people before, but usually only when one of use is away on holidays etc. In those cases we have offered our bedrooms. However, we have a couch in the living room and it doesn't hurt asking about it and find out if it's available.

I'm always up for a drink, or cup of coffee. So, just ask and find out if I'm awailable. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only surfed once, in Brussels. It was a great experience and I will definitely be doing more of that.

Interests

I have many interests, am creative and generally like people. I have therefore always wanted to be kind of a jack of all trades. I would rather know a little about everything rather than know everything about little.
