ABOUT ME

I've just graduated from university in Durham and am about to start working in London. I grew up in Bath (lots of open spaces and parks) so London will come as a bit of a shock. I have travelled in South America, Caribbean and Europe but am always excited to explore new places and meet new people. I don't take life too seriously and look for the same in other people.

PHILOSOPHY

Personal philosophy, hmm... I try not to take life too seriously. I enjoy teasing other people and expect to be teased in return. I'm an optimist and will try to see the best in everyone. I appreciate the small things in life: waking up early, watching the sunrise and hearing birdsong, managing to get a seat on the tube during rush hour, watching Manchester United dominate the Premier League, chilling out with friends, discovering new cooking recipes.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a shared flat so hosting people is hard, but I can meet for drinks or coffee or the stereotypical English tea!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile and Spain. Had amazing experiences all round, met some great people and learnt a lot about South American life.

Interests

Music - I play the violin so love classical music as well as rock, reggae, reggaeton and cheesy pop

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: HARRY POTTER! Most of the English classics although I''m branching into French and Spanish literature in my attempt to read the Top 100 books of all time.

Movies: I haven't actually seen many movies but have been given a comprehensive list of must-sees. But favourites so far are all of the Disney films, Gladiator, Toy Story, Bridget Jones, Love Actually, Top Gun, Shawshank Redemption.

Music: I enjoy an eclectic mix - Coldplay, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Elgar, Rihanna, Beyonce, Oasis, Beatles, Daddy Yankee, Elbow, Take That, Arctic Monkeys, Juanes, Paolo Nutini, Red Hot Chillies......

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to the Galapagos Islands two years ago and was totally blown away.

I can share - happiness :-) I can try to teach you about classical music, surfing, English language, cooking..
I would like to learn - more French and more Spanish!
