ABOUT ME

Hey guys and Gals-

My name is David Hilborn, I am a 23 year old professional artist and designer who grew up in Chicago. I recently moved back here from New York and I am looking for a temporary place to stay while waiting to start new jobs and getting paid. I am super chill, and very creative, I am helpful and trustworthy, I believe in paying it forward. I used to run a hostel in New York, as well as staying in over 50 all over the world, so I love traveling and living with all kinds of people. I do smoke however I am respectful about it and will go outside. I have minimal things (two small bags and a longboard). I am also willing to work out a barter for a longer stay, such as doing a mural or custom piece of artwork as a thank you for helping me out. I will be needing a place to stay Thursday June 4th and only for a week or so.

PHILOSOPHY

There is nothing in life not worth jumping both feet in for. This is where experience and knowledge sprout from. If your not going to just all in then you might as well not jump at all.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have heard of this community while working at the hostel in New York. I think its a great concept. I know people who get into desperate situations and are in need of a helping hand that get taken advantage of by people. It's nice to know that there is a safe place where people can travel without that worry.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hostels all over the world. Watched a few Fire Artists kitties while they are performing in the Bahamas. Stayed with Samantha the amazing-o-filmstar in Lakeview...currently in the gold coast area of Chicago staying with Jared which is proving to be amazing as well.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

two month long hostel on a sailboat in the Bahamas. one night while anchored I was lucky enough to see a congregation of jellyfish in mating rituals. it was amazing to watch the deep purples and pink Bio-luminescence from the man-o-war jellyfish light up the water. Beautiful sight once in a lifetime
