About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying life!

ABOUT ME

For 16 years I had been sailing the world single handed, including a solo circumnavigation from 1999-2002. In 2004 I left Australia to, this time, sail Eastward around the World. After being rolled over and dismasted off the infamous Cape Horn I spent 14 months in Argentina repairing my boat before heading to Brazil. Whilst in Brazil I met Marli and ceased to be a solo sailor. Marli and I left Brazil in Oct 2009 and headed north. In March 2010 we got married in Grenada and in October welcomed our son, Ron Edward, aboard in Trinidad. (He had 3 passports by the time he was 6 weeks old.) We have now returned to Brazil and bought a waterfront home on the island of Itaparica. Reluctantly I had to sell my yacht as in conjunction with health issues, the Brazilian import laws would not allow me to keep her here.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is not a dress rehearsal, it is the main act. Time wasted can never be retrieved.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Folowing my ex-wife's journey to the jungles of the Amazon and her fight with breast cancer using the 'plant medicines'.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching has been my life. The things I taught whilst an officer in the army may not be so appropriate now but formed who I am now.
