ABOUT ME

If we are both very social and curious about the story of each one, we are quite different and have then a good balance.

Caro is full of energy, loves sport, outside activities, and painting. She is an organised person, open minded and always ready to help others (she went in Togo and Roumania to take care of children, orphans, build school, etc..). She is a quite pragmatic person.

We both love to cook and eat good meal with a good wine !We buy always from local producers, bio if possible.

I am more in my dreams. I am quite spontaneous and love to have fun. I love music (play drum kit, drums and guitar). I love to go in concerts and festivals, to be outside with different people, dancing, speaking, drinking, forgetting....I like to discuss about everything. I am the type of guy criticizing society, the gap between rich and poor populations, the despoil of Africa by Europ, ecological problems, living for my utopies : tolerance, respect of the difference, in adequacy with nature.

We love both to travel (by bus, hitchhicking...), meet people with other cultures and learn from them. If money was not a problem, I think that we would be on the road all the time, driving across the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Each conquest creates hatred, because the loser remains in misery. Those who stand peaceful, leaving out any idea of victory or defeat remains happy.

Do not remain in the past, do not dream about the futur, focus your mind on the present moment.

Interests

to listen music, to play music, to paint, to sport,
to dance, to drink, to eat, to hike, to camp,
to speak, to discover other cultures and listen their way of living, to read spiritual or phylosophical books or articles.

I love to spend time with friends : human being has to live in community for me, and I hate individualism. we should always speak with our neighbour, and not be alone at home after work ! People wash and clear their brain with TV, in state of learning from other human being.

Finally, as stereotypic frenches, we love food and wine !!

Music, Movies, and Books

We listen almost every kind of music : rock, reggae, dub, hip-hop, electro (trip-hop, Drum'n Bass, tek...), Djs (cut chemist, wax taylor, Dj premier, Dj shadow, ...), indy music (not the popular one, but the spiritual one, with tablas and sitar), music from east of Europ (bregovic, kusturica, bulgarian music...), black african music (from mali, senegal, ...) and north africa music(oriental music), french music, disco (to have fun because I don't like the sound of 80's very much :-) :-)), Jazz, soul, blues.....

Caroline read novels ; while I read books about politics, ecology, philosophy and sometimes some thriller.

We like a lot of movies and documentary : "Darwin's nightmare", "fightclub", "go, see and becom", "amores perros", "requiem for a dream", "the big lebowsky", "lock, stock and two smoking barrels".....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Strange question. we did the tour of east of Europ by hitchhicking, we have made a parachute jump, but I'm not sure that it's amazing.

We have seen some uncredible art exhibitions, the paintings and sculpture were amazing, we were in concerts where the artists were amazing perfomers, when we reach the top of a mountain, we find the view and nature amazing !
We have seen Bush 2 times president, this is amazing !!!!

When we will be able to show to the world that material owning is not the goal of life, i would say that we are doing something amazing, but for the time being, nothing and everything can be amazyng for us..

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a drum kit, drums (Djumbe, darbuka and tablas), a dj ridoo and a guitar at home. We could share about our visions about life too :-)

Of course we can learn how to cook tens of french meals !!! (it is not really learning, but we would cook with our guest with a great pleasure)

I would like to learn more (I have already a small knowledge) about asian philosophy (taoism, buddhism) and practical (tai chi shuan...). I'm always ready to learn new instruments too !
