My names Alistair, from the Republic of Scotland.
i've travelled widely enough, couchsuring here and there and always enjoying it.
I lived in New Zealand for a good few years, and badly miss my old best mate from there. By happy coincidence, he's about to visit iceland, so i'm going to join him.

i'm into long dark winters spent steeped in whisky and guilt, then burning hot summers away in gorgeous places, living the good life.
i'm into rugby, fiddle, Scots, Irish and English literature, all that and more.

Happiness only exists when shared and I have about three and a half kilograms to share this summer.

I once saw a member of staff at a petrol station smile. As these are traditionally the most bored, dour jobworthians on the planet, I was shocked. I was thinking about ways this phenomenon could be discussed globally, when I realised he was watching someone fill their hybrid car up with diesel.
