Discovering my love of teaching so I can teach a love of discovery.

ABOUT ME

I love exploring the wide world beyond my homebase in the San Francisco Bay Area. Homemade pancakes are my favorite food but if I can't be enjoying them, I love trying new yummies wherever I'm traveling.

I've never been very good at riding my bike but I am a huge fan of the Tour de France and like pretending to be a bigger expert on it than I really am.

I admire people who are good at crossword puzzles and if Leonardo de Vinci was alive today, I would have liked to have been close enough to call him a friend.

Overall, I'm pretty goofy and tend to find the simple things in life the most enjoyable!

Leonardo de Vinci said, "There are three classes of people: those who see, those who see when they are shown, those who do not see." I try to be one of the people who see.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think this community is a brilliant idea and while I haven't been able to utilize it as much as I'd like just yet, I've been spreading the word!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I haven't yet been able to host anyone via CouchSurfing, I have had many opportunities to open my home to others. I love accomodating anyone who needs a place to stay.

Interests

I enjoy discovering new parks in the middle of cities. Traveling has become my passion and I hope to make it as much of a habit as possible.

When I'm home, I love watching movies, both new releases and old favorites that I've seen 30 times.

I also dig watching The Office, going to college football games (Go Bears!), and playing Sudoku, Clue, or Master Mind.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite author is Jeffrey Archer. I lean towards fiction but I also enjoy a good nonfiction or sci-fi. Check me out on Goodreads for more info. Select favorites: As The Crow Flies, Hart's War, Dune, Pillars of the Earth.

When it comes to music, my tastes are all over the board. Though I am moved by different artists and songs at different times, my cd player generally spins classic or alternative rock. Select favorites: Third Eye Blind, Guster, Feist, Florence + The Machine, Tom Petty.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 5 years old, I composed a song on the piano that won a competition to be arranged for the local orchestra. Since then, I have not composed anything but I like to think there is some sort of latent talent hinding somewhere inside of me!
