About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission to to see as much of the Globe as I can, and along the way, meet a wide array of men and women and learn about things from their point of view.
ABOUT ME
I was raised to try anything - and so I did. Instead of the normal business route, I got involved in theatre and the experience of working with permanent nomads - actors - caused me to continue doing so. Jobs took me from LA to San Diego to central California and even to a small town in southern Utah.
I'm in my early 50s and took a big leap almost a decade ago - moving to a quieter life and heading to a small farm with my partner in northeast Oklahoma. We've now relocated to the Palm Springs area.
I love the arts - movies, theatre, the symphony, modern dance and contemporary music as well. I also enjoy traveling (I've hit about 30 countries so far) and sometimes prefer to take the road less traveled. I'm independent, fun and love to be out with friends having a good time. I love to stay in as well. Cooking, playing with the animals, and house projects keep me busy after a day on the farm.
When we meet, you can find out more and let me know what you see.
PHILOSOPHY
I have a few quotes I try to live by:
-Harbors are a safe haven for boats...but that's not what boats are made for.
-You must do the things you think you cannot do
-Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
-Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been surfing/hosing since 2009.
I like that. I've couchsurfed and hosted and enjoyed each experience. I am also checking to see who of my friends is already a part of CS.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
One. I had a great first experience with a couple living in Tulsa. They were great hosts and we talked, joked and laughed a great deal. As far as hosting, I have hosted many times, three or four times in Utah and twice in Oklahoma and four or five times in California.
Interests
Great conversations with friends and soon-to-be friends. Laughing. Cooking/Baking. Relaxing at home.

Music, Movies, and Books
Yes, yes and yes. While I enjoy a lot of the classics, I am also called to a number of things for odd reasons - sometimes, I merely like the jacket of a book, so I read it and most of the time, I really luck out.
-Movies are a mix. I like the heavier stuff, with action and comedy mixed in.
-Music is pretty much Top 40, with old favorites thrown in...my iPod is filled with songs that have meant a great deal to me throughout my life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Meeting people from other cultures. Have seen amazing places like Blue Mosque, the river Kwai (no more bridge!), the rainforests of Costa Rica, Mayan ruins in Belize, the labyrinth that is Fez, the Sahara desert via camel in Tunisia, the Reclining Buddha in Thailand, the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, and almost any beach, including my second home in Cozumel, Mexico. In the past few years, I have seen cows, goats, horses and pigs give birth. I've whitewater rafted, ridden horses, camels and elephants. Also attended (actually I crashed) the 75th birthday of the King of Tonga...funny story.
