About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be kind, record music, reduce my impact both environmentally and emotionally on the world around me, watch cartoons.

ABOUT ME

I'm into empathy, social justice, recording sounds/music, and you know, being a pretty decent human being when possible. I grew up in Washington State, and then I lived in New Orleans, and kind of Alaska. I traveled for a while and then got tired, so I moved to Portland!

PHILOSOPHY

You know, yogi hippie nonsense about the literal interconnectivity of all beings. SO LAME.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By falling asleep on the whatever designated space my kind hosts might allow! I have had only positive experiences hosting, but presently, I am unable to do so.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Probably evenly split between hosting and being hosted. Once, my host took me for a helicopter ride. I would prefer that all my hosts be able to take me for a helicopter ride.

Interests

Playing the cello, robots, the natural world, spiritual inquiry, etc etc etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music with strings or guitars or Kotos or an accordion, or weird animal sounds, maybe, or like, a recording of a person sleeping. Maybe the song is quite short and very punchy, or maybe it sort of unfolds for like 11 minutes, I guess it doesn't really matter. Mainstream country music is challenging, but for some reason I still torment myself and listen to it like twice a year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ate a whole bag of chips. (It was really big)

Teach, Learn, Share

Gardening, environmentalism without being a preachy insufferable jerk, music.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good stories, moderate cooking skillz, humorousness, and the meaning of life.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Rwanda, Scotland, Spain, Tanzania

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
