ABOUT ME

We met at a co-ed boarding school in the south of England when we were 13 years old. Excepting some minor excursions, we have been together ever since - about 58 years.

In 2007-2008 we were in the US Peace Corps in the Republic of Georgia and returned there after the Russian - Georgian conflict to finish our projects as private volunteers. We are considering further volunteer service.

We love music, adventure and meeting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have couch-surfed in Greece and France. We stayed with a wonderful family in Greece on our way to Georgia and stayed with the same family on our way back from Georgia; it was a great start to our couch-surfing experience. Subsequently, we stayed at two couches in France and, again, the experiences were delightful.

We have now returned to New York where we have hosted a surfer from France. We have not yet settled in properly - we still have many boxes to unpack and so the bedroom we had intended for surfers is full of boxes.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

We have done a fair amount of traveling. Besides a Peace Corps stint in the Republic of Georgia, we have have spent a lot of time in South America (including the Galapagos, Peru, Argentina and Mexico), and visited Zambia, Iceland, South Africa and China - to name but a few. We have crossed the US in a VW camper and have driven by car from the UK to the Republic of Georgia and back.
