ABOUT ME

I am quirky, passionate, intelligent, loyal, honest, and adventurous. I love nature, the great outdoors, and animals with all my heart, and I believe very strongly in the importance of protecting them. I love meeting people from all over the world, hearing their stories, and sharing experiences. I love to travel. I have a flirtatious relationship with risktaking. I can be a bit of a daredevil in the sense that I like to do things that get my adrenaline going, but I'm usually pretty safe in how I go about it. I admire people who push themselves outside their comfort zones and try to open myself to new experiences as much as possible (as long as they don't involve mayonnaise. blegh.). I think I'm addicted to sugar. I have two pet snakes that mean the world to me. I'm a total sucker for dark chocolate, ghetto go-kart racing, philosophical debates, road trips, sharks, and really good hugs.

As an atheist I personally believe that we all get just this one shot at life and we should truly make the most of it while we have it. There's no second chance - this is it! I'm all about LIVING my life and enjoying it to the fullest, while I am fortunate enough to be able to do so. I try to be a good person and to live resonsibly. I believe it's important to acknowledge the consequences of one's actions and not simply live in ignorance of them. I'm a very strong believer in equality of race and don't see how anyone's sexual orientation is any of anyone else's business. I'm not into telling other people how they should live their lives and I'd appreciate being given that same consideration. I live by the Golden Rule of treating others as I'd like to be treated and believe that if most people subscribed to the idea of "paying forward" the kindnesses bestowed on them, the world could be a better place.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I don't have an ability to host at the moment because I'm spending the summer traveling around and have moved out of my place to save on rent. But when I'm in town, I'm always up for meeting up with people for drinks or coffee and conversation. =) I'm actually currently looking for someone to hang out with tomorrow in Paris. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's really hard for me to single out THE most amazing thing I've ever done but swimming alongside a 30' whale shark for half an hour last summer definitely had to be one of them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to ride a motorcycle (and do wheelies and tank stands)! I can introduce you to some really cool pet snakes or show you how to train animals. =) I would love to learn how to kitesurf or cook or say a few words in another language or to do anything, really. I'd also really love to hear about your travels and adventures and see any pictures you may have of what makes your world go 'round.
