ABOUT ME

Long before the advent of Couch Surfing, my family mastered the art of hospitality. Our home was a constant flow of people; international travelers, an occasional hichhiker, down and out souls in need of temporary shelter, even a traveling Amish family once. On occasion, our visitors took advantage of that hospitality, but we never lost our enthusiasm for welcoming people into our home. My father has said more than once that he never met a person he didn't consider a friend. I do my best to emulate him. Abraham Lincoln once said that "If you look for the bad in people expecting to find it, you surely will." I believe there is a germ of goodness in almost everyone that I come in contact with. When watered properly with the milk of human kindness and generosity, I believe that germ of goodness will blossom into something beautiful.

On a more personal level? Let's see....Well, I stop to smell the roses (literally). I am dancer, a writer, and an amauteur stargazer. I enjoying listening to, writing, and performing music. And I love to hike in the mountains of anywhere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed for the very first time in July 2022 in Avignon, France with a great local guy named Daniel. We had a wonderful time together. Looking forward to making new couch surfing friends during my solo tour of Central Europe this summer (2022)!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I watched as the Western Hemisphere's most active volcano (Volcan Arenal in La Fortuna, Costa Rica) erupted and spewed lava in every direction. The neon orange lava set against the night's black backdrop was indescribably beautiful--the most amazing thing I have ever seen.

I am a dance and yoga instructor and a great cook. If I can share any of those gifts and skills with you, it would be my pleasure.
