To have lots of surfers sleeping on our ShOp lounge couches and eating my mum's cakes.

ABOUT ME

Me (Jayne) and my business partner (Brett) have a vintage clothing shop with an actual fully integrated lounge area! - in the heart of the old city in Bristol, UK. We like to call ourselves 'anti-prenuers' and we like to use our shop for all sorts of different free stuff like gigs, yoga classes, film screenings and guerilla cafes to name but a few. Then we heard about couch surfing and thought that would be another great use of the shop. We have had sleep overs in it before and it is a very nice place to get some kip. As long as you don't mind g-g-g-g-ghosts! The area where the shop is located is very old, the buildings have have been around since 1669 and are haunted - apparently...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None! We is brand new! I (Jayne) did once share a floor with my mum, dad, sister, sister's boyfriend, sister's band and a random punk in a strange Dutch man's house in Rotterdam when I was 14 - does that count?

Interessen

Jayne - sewing, reading, writing stories, practising Spanish, stroking cats, volunteering at the Books for Amnesty bookshop, doing things for other Christmas Steps traders, like picnics and that, riding my 1964 Li series Lambretta! Oh and drinking Guinness.

Brett - learning the piano and playing in my band, gardening, football (playing and supporting - Man U fan!), helping the Christmas Steps traders, technically I'm an artist, (I have a degree in Fine Art) but I am taking a break from it, smoking fags.

Brett likes these films - 'Life is Beautiful', 'Shaun of the Dead'. And this music - Ben Folds, The Streets

Jayne's not good at picking favourites, but I like books by Margaret Atwood, Haruki Murakami and Tama Janowitz and music either by big, black women or gay, American men (it seems after looking at my CD collection).
