About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live , learn, experience and someday ride the Silkroad by motorcycle or possibly by foot if i can find the time.

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty relaxed guy. Currently I'm a student of International Management and an English teacher at the FH. I love to ride bikes and motorcycles, play chess, see new places, make things, read ect. I think I would like to settle in Europe for good. I love to cook.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't do regret very often. I'm a head first charge in sort of guy and that philosophy has worked really well for me. I've taken a few lumps for the effort sometimes but knowledge and experience don't come free. I really want to see a lot more of the world and its people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm uncomfortable with this question as I tend not to be a "joiner" of groups or things. I'm a guy with a free couch and some cooking skills that likes friendly people and wandering around. No fancy titles or grandiose vision. I'm down to earth George Carlin sort of guy that isn't quite so misanthropic as to think this couch surfing idea isn't cool.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well now I have some experience (just twice) and I have to say I love it. People who are interested in this sort of thing are fascinating (that's kinda what I expected) and they seem to have a really rich experience of travel and life. It makes for great conversation, which is something I love.

Interests

Chess, motorcycles, new places, people, beer (ah beer...), a good laugh, hiking, learning new things (esp. languages).

Music, Movies, and Books

The Turning Point, Frijof Capra. Johnathan Livingston Seagull, Sebastian Bach. There are so many but the books that discover the limitless connections and layers of the world excite me most.

Movies: I'm a sucker for a good action movie but recently I've been getting addicted to itunes downloads of House (the tv series) and Rome (the HBO series), more recently "Lost". Damn I can waste some time watching this stuff...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't pick just one... Rode a tandem bike from Seattle to L.A. with a friend. Watched the Aurora Borealis in Alaska. Walked the Osa Penisula in Costa Rica and the West Highland Way in Scottland.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been teaching Business and Technical English for some time now.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
