ABOUT ME

I was born in Osaka, Japan to a Japanese father and a Scottish mother. My gran parents in japan is actually from Okinawa, which used to be a different country.
My mother's parents were both from Ireland, so i think my blood is confused!

I was raised in Japan until 11, and I have been in Scotland ever since.
I am semi-pro photographer and an accomplished musician.

I love all kinds of music, from pop to rock, dance to metal, folk to world, and anything experimental.
I love different cultures of the world. Hearing different languages excites me.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that we are all connected to each other through cycles of life, plants and minerals.
I hope to use my photography and music to promote peace some day.

Being Scottish, I am kind, generous, funny, friendly, loving & easy going. But at the same time, I don't let anyone walk all over me. That's Scottish-ness for you! lol.

Also being Japanese, I have adopted their philosophy in Life, Love & the world. Simplicity can sometimes be the most beautiful thing in the world.

I dress simple & casual, and I come across realistic, but I am very much hippie at heart.
There are too much experience in life that I need to fulfill.

The best advice anyone has ever giving me:
"The Joy in life is not in hearing the words I love you, but being lucky enough to say it".

Sicily, Italy - October 2010.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed in NY, Manchester, hosted few times in my home in Scotland & my apartment in Chester, England.

Interests

Music, photography, traveling, languages, spirituality and science.

My biggest passion in life is to write & compose songs.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love world cinema. French, Spanish, German, Japanese, bring it on! I dislike Hollywood films, but I adore films by Gus Van Sant.

My list of Music is crazy. On my ipod I have anything from country to hardcore metal!
But my faves are: Radiohead, Biffy Clyro, Sonic Youth, Red House Painters, Oceansize, Warpaint, My Bloody Valentine, Death Cab For Cutie, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Bjork, PJ Harvey to name a few.

I love books, my favorite is:
Stephen Chbosky "Perks of Being a Wallflower".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done all kinds of things in my life, amazing, wonderful, strange and weird.

The most beautiful place I have ever been to is Finland.

The best experience I've ever had is when I lived in Ghana (West Africa) for 3 months volunteering & teaching music. The generosity, the warmth & the kindness of the Ghanaians overwhelmed me. I also witnessed some poverty and even the dead. It was a life changing experience, it taught me to think about the world in a different way. After living in a developing country, I learned to buy fair trade, think about the environment, and be more loving & friendly!
