Eat, go hiking, drink red wine, love, learn and share.
I talk a lot, mucho, heaps, moltissimo, mycket! I rarely say no to a good chat over a glass of red wine.
Life is meant to be lived outside your comfort zone: that's where all the beauty is waiting to be found.
Success is not a one way street but a long journey made of passion, work, persistance, ideas, questioning yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've organised many CS meeting in Florence and enjoyed each and every couchsurfer. I now call Melbourne home and would love to catch up with anyone that enjoys getting out of the city for fun day trip to the countryside.
I've couch surfed since I was 19, I've hosted people both in Italy and Sweden and had lots of fun with them.
DISCOVER I don't need much to be happy. Find a cute shaped stone, take an unexpected picture, see an animal in the wild, notice a different colour in the sunset, dip my feet in a cold river, play snowballs.
LEARN everyday something new, interesting and useful.
READ books. Books are the best way to escape from reality.
LITERATURE. I'm fascinated by Nordic Literature: Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish. I'm also deeply in love with kanelbullar (cinnamon rolls) but that's another story…
PHOTOGRAPHY Australia is giving me so many wonderful occasions to take amazing pictures.
COOKING ..I do love cooking for other people and sharing food.
SERIOUS MOVIES I like using this expression with my foreign friends because, of course, everyone's definition of serious is different. Serious movies to me are war movies (especially on WWI and WWII), thrillers, and those complicated movies where you only understand everything at the very last moment (for example Shutter Island, The Great Beauty)DOCUMENTARIES ..could spend a whole winter day watching documentaries.
I grew up in northern Italy, close to Switzerland, plenty of nature: lakes, mountains, beautiful green summers. I have also spent a summer living at a farm (I was 13) helping to milk cows, feed sheep and hens and have seen how they make cheese.
IKEA it may sound funny to list Ikea as interest. What would you do if you went there almost every month as if it was the Colosseum? Ikea is such a great invention and every time I'm there, I dream of my future house for a little while.SECOND HAND SHOPS.. I'm Italian=I only have Gucci, Dolce&Gabbana and Prada bags... NO WAY!! I'm Italian and I buy at second hand shops, I like creating my own scarfs from fabrics. COLD WATER cold is better. Cold shower, cold sea, ice, snow.RED WINECANDIES ... candies are special and, therefore, have to be saved for particular occasions such as a movie, a good grade, a rainy day. SWIMMING I must admit that I'm not a strong swimmer. Despite this, I love it. It makes me feel free and strong.
