Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live life, more.
ABOUT ME
I have a creative imagination which often manages to distract me, as I often wander "within my own world".
While I am a bit of a perfectionist, I do not impose perfectionism onto others.
I prefer quiet, small gatherings over crowded and loud places. I do not smoke, but I do enjoy a good drink now and then.
I am considerate, friendly, generous and helpful, treating strangers equally, yet assuming people have good intentions (some people might find this ignorant; I only find it fair).
I am an agnostic socialist.
I live life one step at a time. I do, however, greatly enjoy adventurous experiences (in fact, I seek them).
Amongst strangers I am a calm, resilient, collected individual, but amongst friends, I can get a little wacky (completely harmless, though, I assure you).
Oh, and I have a hard time writing descriptions such as these ;-)
PHILOSOPHY
Do not do to others what you would not like to be done to you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My sleeping accomodations are currently locked up in a container at sea (I am moving).
Interests
I spend most of my time nerding around with computer science and math subjects, for personal interest. I also enjoy music, have recently started playing the bass, and enjoy reading various books (mostly science-fiction). Furthermore, I enjoy games (computer-, roleplay, board-, ...), going to the movies, and generally associating with people with similar interests as myself. I do not smoke, and I only drink socially. Lastly, I actively practise Taekwondo, and enjoy hiking, skiing, travelling, and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly read fantasy and science fiction novels. Books I have read include The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Neuromancer, all the Drizzt Do'Urden books, The Lord of the Rings, and others.
I pick music from how the sounds make me feel (some things considered noise to some is music to me). The feelings I look for are epic, adventurous, and climactic. I therefore mostly listen to metal (doom-, thrash- and death-, mostly), but I also fancy classic, ambient, and old-school rock. My favourite metal bands include Acid Bath, Atheist, Blotted_Science, Bolt_Thrower, Candlemass, Celtic Frost, Crowbar, Cryptopsy, Darkfrost, Death, Dimmu_Borgir, Dio, Finntroll, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Nominon, Obituary, Running Wild, Sepultura, Skyforger, Suffocation, Tyr, Vader. Other artists I enjoy are Queen, Beethoven, Analogik, Loituma, Fernando Sor, Gengis Tron, Kraftwerk, Björk.
I like really good movies (which have a gripping, epic storyline), and really bad movies (which cross the shit-barrier, being so embarrasingly bad that they become funny). Movies and series I like include Pirates of the Caribbean, Meet Joe Black, Devil's Advocate, Big Fish, Donnie Darko, The Butterfly Effect, Dr. Strangelove, The Monty Python movies, Firefly, Babylon 5. Bad movies I like include Manos: Hands of Fate, Death Bed: The Bed that Eats, Machine Girl, Toxic Avenger, Re-Animator, Riki-Oh, Basket Case, Frankenhooker, and many others.
