ABOUT ME

Friendly, easy-going, and loving the ocean breezes in Monterey! Kevin is a graphic designer for CSUMB and for himself. Carissa is a manager for a local office. We come from very different backgrounds: He's from Costa Rica, and she hails from coastal Virginia. We have traveled prior to joining CS, so between the two of us we have a fairly diverse range of interests. A conversation could cover everything from good beer/food, to travel, to the arts, to philosophy. Sometimes in that order!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

How many people can you stuff into a small apartment? If you know the answer, then you know exactly what our favorite couch-surfing experiences have been. How it feels to carefully tiptoe around sleeping bodies and their piles of stuff to the bathroom or watch the household cat glare at all the people taking up -her- spot. You also know the fun of cooking together, laughing and swapping stories, and finding a kindred spirit in that friend of a friend of a friend that happened to show up. Our best couch surfing experiences are just that, the challenges and fun of the temporary "tribe" taking up residence in a generous soul's home for an event. We haven't done it through CS yet, but, it is certainly a possibility!

Trying new things, travel, cooking, good food and beer, music (especcially heard live), art (particularly ancient and contemporary and photography), wave-watching, people-watching, scenic places off the beaten path, holes-in-walls, books, idea exchanges, the meaning of life, and good conversation about all of the above.
