About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world before the world takes back what is rightfully hers.
ABOUT ME
I thought I may have been over it, but it turns out I cannot operate properly without a streak of rebellion.
Music is fuel. I go between Hardcore and Americana mostly, equal parts Alt-Country, Jazz, Delta Blues, and Singer-Songwriter trash.
Top with whiskey, tattoos, and conversation. I very much enjoy communicating with people, particularly strangers. Not that I've mastered the art of conversation, but it is turning into a pastime for me.
I pride myself in loyalty.
PHILOSOPHY
Be prepared. Take care of those who take care of you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'll gladly host, however, your experience will be a small one bedroom with just me. I am good company, I feel, and have a very active circle of friends that love meeting people as well.
I do mainly want to travel, though, and am an honorable guest. I am my mother's son, I can't not do the dishes, and still make my bed first thing upon waking.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed once in South Philly, and it was a phenomenal experience. Our host was a gentleman who introduced me to a lot of class acts, so I take a lot of influence from him. Otherwise, two of my friends have been active hosts in Chicago for years, and I have met all kinds through them, and each had a story. That's enough for me.
Interests
As before, music, tattoos, whiskey.
Low and slow grilling, making my own dry rubs and sauces.
Bacon, cigarettes, bicycling, running, guitar, mandolin, drums.
Reading, writing, conversing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cherish the memories of my previous travels. I have driven from Chicago to New York, Boston, Maine, Virginia Beach, Philadelphia, and Denver. While it is admittedly a small start, these trips have always proven what I'm made of, in a sense. I feel I am most on my game while on the road. I hope you'll help add to the list.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm medically trained in prehospital care, so I can help you out if you are going to die.
For a city boy, I can smoke a pretty mean rack of ribs or pork butt, among other things. I can also save you $50 by making a Bacon Explosion at home.
I'm fluent in ambulance Spanish (akin to kitchen Spanish, without the humor), but would love to be able to travel and converse without hesitation. If you are fluent and want to speak Spanish throughout the surf, by all means, teach me to fish. That goes for any language, really.
I want to be better with my hands. I would love to try wood working, ceramics, auto repair, screen printing, anything that I can make my own and be proud of. I just haven't any room in Chicago.
