About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm interested in numerous diasporic and nomadic communities. I like learning how people end up where they are.

ABOUT ME

It's fun to update this to see how much one has changed!

I just spent a year working at the south pole (of all places!). Now I have time and resources to meander.
I'm an artist, doing writing and performance, though not a lot on the road. I should change this.

PHILOSOPHY

the truth is that (I've had a change of heart).
I'm kind of putting a lot of it together right now.

I go by the universal law of good.

I really want to help as much as I can.

There is no such thing as a nobody.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking to get on the train with like minded individuals. I lived in large collective situation in an old ballroom, so having people come in and out is coming to be commonplace.

I like meeting people quickly, but really trying to get to know people as well I can in the time I have with them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my couchsurfing comes from friends. and I've had no experience yet from "CouchSurfing" but I'd like to get some.

I think you learn a lot about yourself waking up somewhere new every day.

Interests

I'm interested in arts of all sorts, like the reading kind, and the seeing kind, and the hearing kind. Running around outside without shoes on, so the bottoms of your feet get really thick and you can walk on sharp rocks. Climbing trees so you can see what people look like from above (usually they look unassuming from above).
I'm always trying to blur the line between what my artwork is and what my life is. If we're together, I'll promise to make you something.

What you really have to look at is the amount of risk involved in a situation in comparison to the likelihood of creating a vivid and lasting memory down the road. I for one will almost always side in favor of creating a new experience.

oh shoot, and of course dancin.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like experimental movies, homemade movies, lowbudget movies. Movies that are critically honest about how they speak and what they speak to. I guess I like movies, too.
Synecdoche, New York
El Topo
Dreams
American Movie
I typically forget immediately how a movie unfolds, so I enjoy watching it again.
Watched a lot of criterion collection at the s. pole. Home movies.

I like books that bleed off of the realm of writing, philosophy, poetry, GERTRUDE STEIN.

Regional folk music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

IJUMPEDOFFOFAFORTYFOOTCLIFF!!!

Biking around my hometown.

When I drove home from my friend's house ome day, I was driving through 4 hours of fog thick as pea soup. It was surreal and I almost fell asleep behind the wheel. (More dangerous than amazing I guess...)

Teach, Learn, Share

learn how to tactfully steal. knowledge, not goods.

when you put two people together and have them hold hands you don't just have two things anymore, you have three; what you have is you, me, and us.

I've also been living with my grandmother in Denmark for quite some months and have picked up quite a few elderly habits from her.

I hope to teach a little patience to everyone I know. I'm quite slow.
