ABOUT ME

I love meeting and getting to know people from all over the world - it makes this planet smaller, cozier, and helps you gain different perspectives on life.... I grew up in Germany, went to highschool in the US, finished my Master´s degree in China and spent the last four years living and working in Mexico. I feel blessed to have made wonderful friends from all over this beautiful planet and am always happy to meet new people and hear their story.

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is a journey, not a destination." , which at times, finds a beautiful addition through an African proverb stating "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just moved to Munich and things are still chaotic. So right now, it is easier for me to just meet up with people for a drink or so since my housing situation can also be labeled as "temporary". Once I´ll have settled down a bit, my door will be open for genuinely nice people again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met some really amazing people through this project several years ago. Lately, I haven´t participated that much in CS in particular anymore since I was meeting amazing people all the time in the real world being a foreigner in other peoples' home country ;) But now being back home, I´d like to give back some of the hospitality I experienced as a traveler myself in the past.

Interests

Traveling obviously, discovering hidden treasures in the ordinary, learning languages, cooking with friends, going out and about, enjoying cultural events and sports - I love urban life, but I need to disconnect every now and then and just be out of the city for a while.

Music, Movies, and Books

All time favorite movie is "Forrest Gump" as it combines several genres in one. Close to that comes Amélie (Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain)... I like a wide range of music depending on my mood and the occasion: piano music for falling asleep, indie pop for having a beer & talk, something more upbeat for dancing and linkin park for driving ;) there are too many good books to be mentioned, sometimes I even finish a bad book just out of stubbornness, though. If you have a good or bad book recommendation for me, let me know!
